Our loan car
The Loan car is a Loaded 1991 Soarer V8, it is free to use and I am very happy to pay for the upkeep, tax and MOT, but I cannot pay for any faults that it may develop whilst in your possession, this includes problems that may or may not be due to any fault of yours.
You are welcome to the loan car for as long as it takes to repair your car, this obviously depends on availability.
Before you collect the loan car you will be asked to accept the terms and conditions regarding the loan car, these are the terms and conditions:
- You will need to ensure that you have insurance for the car; you cannot drive it on my insurance.
- You will be required to pay for any damage sustained to the car whilst in your possession regardless if it was your fault or not, I cannot afford to wait months for an insurance company to pay for any disputed claim.
- Should you be unfortunate enough to get a puncture or cracked windscreen, this too will be your responsibility, and you will be required to pay for these repairs.
- If in the unlikely event that you should have a mechanical break down you will not be responsible for the mechanical breakdown (*)(*)(*) but you will be responsible for getting the car back to the SSS2 for me to fix. I do not want a call from Devon or Doncaster saying, "your car is in the lay-by, come and get it".
- (*)(*)(*) If the car should develop a water or oil leak and you continue to drive it until it goes bang, then you will be responsible for the damaged caused by continuously driving it.
Diesel. It is a PETROL car, please remember this. It will cost you upwards of £300.00 to get any diesel out of the car and the car back driving again, I would expect you to at very least bring the car back with the same amount of petrol in the car as it was when you took it.
I service this car regularly and I check it for water and oil every time it goes out, and I very much doubt it will ever have a problem. I hope you understand and accept the reasons why I insist on these conditions, should you feel these are unacceptable to you then please feel free to leave it here.
